Short CV/Education and training

  • Camilla Bellone graduated in Pharmacy at the University of Milano in 2000 were she worked in the laboratory of the Prof. Monica DiLuca at the Department of Pharmacological Science for the master thesis. She then enrolled in the PhD program of the University of Milano and during this period she had the opportunity to join a research project abroad. In 2002 she joined the team of prof. Lüscher at the University of Geneva where she specialized in the neurophysiology of the synapses and the cellular mechanism underlying drug addiction. She completed her PhD in Switzerland and in 2006 she move to San Francisco where she trained in the laboratory of Prof. Roger Nicoll at the UCSF as postdoc. In 2008 she came back in Switzerland as Maître Assistant at the University of Geneva and in 2011 she was awarded with the Ambizione fellowship from the Swiss National Science Foundation. In 2014 she moved to University of Lausanne as Assistant Professor with the support of the Swiss National Science Foundation and in 2016 she obtained the position of assistant professor at the Department of Fundamental Neuroscience of the University of Geneva (Switzerland).
