Selected projects

This project involves understanding the pathogenesis and risk factors of long-term pulmonary sequelae defining the individual outcome and public health impact of TB disease.

This is a multi-site study aiming to validate a biomarker signature for development of a point-of-care screening test for TB using finger-prick blood.

  • TBVAC2020

The goal of this project is to define new vaccine candidates for TB. My focus is understanding early protective immunity to Mtb infection.

  • GC6-2013: Biomarkers for TB consortium

The goal of this project is to analyse samples from incident cases and controls to define correlates of risk for TB.

  • MRC(UK) TB case-contact platform

This funding allows analysis and sample collection from TB patients and their exposed contacts to define host-pathogen interactions and provide a basis for vaccine and diagnostic studies.
