Short CV/Education and training

  • Dr. Oxana Smirnova is an Associate Professor at the Particle Physics division in Lund University, Sweden. A graduate of Moscow State University, she obtained Ph.D. in physics from Lund University, working with the DELPHI experiment at CERN.

  • Her areas of interest are QCD and multiparticle correlations. She is now a member of the ATLAS collaboration at CERN, being one of the developers of the distributed Grid computing model. Oxana Smirnova is a CERN liaison of the Nordic e-Infrastructure Collaboration, representing it towards the Worldwide LHC Computing Grid. She is also one of the designers of the NorduGrid ARC middleware.
