Short CV/Education and training

  • Dr. Franzén has doctorate in medical science and physiotherapy from Karolinska institutet. She made her postdoctoral traningat Oregon health and Science University, Portland, USA with Professor Fay B Horak. Dr Franzén is currently an associate professor at Karolinska Institutet (KI) and Karolinska University hospital. She is research group leader and director of the motor control laboratory at KI, which have excellent resources for analyzing gait, balance and motion. Dr. Franzén is an expert in balance control and movement in elderly and Parkinson’s disease, in both clinical and laboratory settings.
