  1. Learning More About Earthquakes

    A network of permanently installed GPS-receivers tracks three-dimensional movements of the Earth's surface during and after earthquakes with high precision. Using these data, a research team at the University of Hannover, Germany, has created detailed computer simulations of active fault zones for an in-depth understanding of earthquakes.
